It deeply saddens me to witness my fellow citizens enduring the hardships of flooding every rainy season, especially when there are ample funds allocated for the construction of proper drainage systems. It is disheartening to know that these avoidable issues persist due to the delays caused by the council. Despite the availability of resources, our people continue to suffer, and it is a stark reminder of the urgent need for efficient and timely action to address this ongoing problem.
Witnessing the recurring flooding of homes in the Railways and Porter’s house area of Mushili ward is truly disheartening. It is a source of great frustration to observe my fellow community members enduring the constant challenges and hardships brought about by these floods.
It is evident that the heavy rainfall today has caused several houses to be completely submerged in water, a recurring problem that the residents face every rainy season. Despite numerous attempts to find a solution, the council’s response to this issue has been disappointingly slow, leaving the affected individuals in a state of helplessness.
The Council needs to take immediate action and speed up the process in order to provide us with a skilled contractor who can effectively address the challenges our community is currently experiencing. It is crucial that we find someone capable of assisting us in resolving these issues and alleviating the difficulties faced by our people.
