The Independent Member of Parliament for BwanaMkubwa Constituency in Ndola, Warren Mwambazi, emphasizes that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) should be accessible to all individuals, regardless of their political affiliations, as everyone has the right to benefit from it.
Mwambazi highlights that the current government, under President Hakainde Hichilema, has successfully distributed the CDF to all 156 constituencies across the country, aiming to improve the quality of life for citizens and promote development.
During the official handover of a modern multi-purpose community hall in Kang’onga area of Kavu ward, Mwambazi, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC), stresses the significance of unity in working towards achieving the desired development goals in the nation.
The lawmaker urges the ward development committees to prioritize the needs of the people in their respective wards when selecting projects to be implemented, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in decision-making processes.
In addition, Ndola Mayor Jones Kalyati calls upon residents to protect the various projects initiated under the CDF from vandalism, ensuring that these projects can effectively serve their intended purposes within the communities they are meant to benefit.
